In 2003 I started kiting here in the Netherlands. 2004 I was having my first sponsorships by Best, but I didn't do any competion that year. In 2005 I started with competions and became 10th in the race event at Grevelingendam, 3rd on another race event in Hargen.At the Dutch Championships I became 17th. 2006 I had a lot of exams at school and I just did 1 comp and ended 2nd there. After school I did the IKO instructor course to be able to pay my trip in the winter to Brasil for 3 months. That was one hell of a trip! Great wind, good vibe and loads of kiting! Two weeks after Brazil I went to Norway for snowkiting. I've been working at eXventure, a company that organizes events in extreme sports like kiteboarding, wakeboarding, mountainbike etc. where I had a really good time.
Last winter I went to Brazil with two of my best friends where we've been kiting a lot and had some really good fun. I've also been to Norway again for two months witch was really nice as well, we didn't have so much wind but I had a great time with the people I met there!
Now I'm going to work for a few months and then start school, marketing and management. I'll also keep traveling, plan for this year is to go to Portugal, Britain, Bahamas(exuma) and Norway. Hope I'll have enough money, but I'm sure I'll manage!
